The Lunchtime Sessions
The Pathfinder Initiative seeks to develop three bodies of knowledge in its participants, practical driving, highway code and driving theory, risk aware attitudes and behaviours.
Key to their learning is participation in 30 minute lunchtime sessions which introduces them to key ideas around the Causes and Consequences of Collisions and ways of behaving which mitigate risk, in particular a communication skill called Assertiveness.
The idea of each session is to introduce the topic and, using the materials provided, engage the participants in a discussion.
Schools and other bodies working with young people are encouraged to use these materials which consist of:
- a lesson plan;
- a demonstration video of one of our volunteers delivering the material;
- a powerpoint presentation with video links embedded
These materials have been made available with the support of the Office of thePolice and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire. For further information or assistance contact us.
