Bursaries

Important Notes: Read before applying

The standard course fee is £400 for all applicants unless a residency specific or Trust bursary is granted.

All applicants pay a £70 deposit to secure a place.

Residency specific bursaries are:

  • applied to the final payment for qualifying candidates
  • available only to students resident within eligible areas
  • residency checks may be carried out

Residency specific bursaries are funded by:

  • Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia
  • Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
  • York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority
  • Safer Roads Humber
  • Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service

As a non profit organisation and part of a Charitable Trust, we want to provide opportunity and strive to keep our costs low by relying solely on volunteers to support our work. Our young drivers have benefitted from grant provision from a number of sources (listed above). As a result of the economic environment, many of these grants have now ended. This will result in a modest increase in prices from August 2026 for our courses later in the year.
